Individual Therapy for Children, Adolescents, Adults, and Parents

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

I provide weekly individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, or general life stress. I often work with adults who are high-achievers and need assistance navigating their careers or relationship stressors. I most often utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), which is a research-backed treatment that involves adapting your thoughts and behaviors to feel better emotionally. In sessions, I incorporate talk therapy and specific coping skills to target your areas of concern. With some clients, I provide exposure exercises to feared stimuli. Sessions are collaborative and we often assess progress and adapt our plan.

I provide dialectical behavior therapy for adolescents (DBT-A) in my practice, which is a research-backed treatment that addresses suicidal thoughts, self-harm behaviors, emotion dysregulation, and relationship difficulties. I provide weekly individual treatment, 24/7 phone coaching, and parent and family sessions. I also provide referrals to a weekly DBT-A group for parents and teens to learn coping skills. As part of a comprehensive DBT-A treatment, I participate in a weekly DBT consultation team meeting with other clinicians.

Parent Management Training (PMT)

I work with parents, either intermittently or weekly, to provide support as they navigate parenting challenges. Parenting sessions are often more frequent with younger children and less frequent or do not occur with adolescents. This is decided on a case by case basis.

Diagnostic Assessment

I provide diagnostic assessments to those that would like clarity regarding their symptoms and possible diagnoses. These diagnostic assessments range from 2-4 hours and include completing questionnaires, providing background information, and answering questions regarding symptoms of various diagnoses. Verbal feedback is provided at the following session.

Supervision, Consultation, and Lectures

I enjoy supervising and consulting with mental health professionals, particularly regarding CBT, DBT-A, and PMT. I also enjoy providing lectures to mental health professionals and trainees, as well as the general public. Feel free to reach out regarding these offerings.
